Born on <\/span>March 16, 1979, in Bogot\u00e1<\/b>, is one of the most renowned actresses of her generation. At the age of 8, she began her theater studies at the National Theater of Bogot\u00e1 and has continued to perfect her training throughout her career, including studies with Alfonso Ortiz and seminars in Madrid with Juan Carlos Corazza. Since her television debut at the age of 12 in <\/span>Esp\u00e9rame al Final,<\/span><\/i>her talent was discovered by Pepe S\u00e1nchez, and since then she has had an unstoppable career.<\/span><\/p>

On television, Marcela has participated in successful productions such as <\/span>Pedro El Escamoso<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Todos Quieren con Marilyn<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Pura Sangre<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>El Capo<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Operaci\u00f3n Jaque<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Sitiados<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>El Chapo<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Frontera Verde<\/span><\/i> y <\/span>No Fue Mi Culpa<\/span><\/i> from Star+. Her filmography includes 17 feature films, among which the film Santanas stands out.<\/span>\u00a0by Andr\u00e9s Baiz, which earned her recognition at the San Sebasti\u00e1n Film Festival, and <\/span>El Amor en los Tiempos del C\u00f3lera<\/span><\/i> by Mike Newall. In 2020, she appeared in the short film <\/span>Entre t\u00fa y Milagros<\/span><\/i>, which won the award for best short film at the Venice Film Festival.<\/span><\/p>

In 2014, Marcela decided to take the plunge as a producer by creating Ganas Producciones, a platform for telling stories from a more personal perspective and exploring other types of narratives. Her first produced work was Venus en Piel, a Broadway hit that she brought to Colombia. She recently co-produced Camila Beltr\u00e1n's film Mi Bestia, in which she also plays a co-starring role.
